Antoine Faqua has revealed that his next movie project will be a Tupac biopic.
The Training Day filmmaker is all set to get the camera's rolling on the biopic picture later this year.
Speaking to Digital Spy the filmmaker said: "It looks like we're doing Tupac Shakur's movie next in September, that's what I've been starting up and working on now.
"I've been working on that for a while with Morgan Creek and Jim Robinson. I just got the greenlight from him and we're going in September. I've just started to prep that.
Unlike many biopic pictures that have gone before it Faqua plans not to cast a big name in the central role but look for an unknown talent.
"That's the goal, I want to discover someone new," he explained. "I want to discover a lot of new people if I can.
"Obviously I'm going to have to put some people in it that you know, just because actors have different skills. I want to go to the streets and find him anywhere he might be in the world."
And the director is back in action next week when his latest picture Brooklyn's Finest is finally released.
Another cop drama for Faqua as he reunites with Training Day actor Ethan Hawke, the movie also stars Wesley Snipes, Richard Gere and Don Cheadle.
Brooklyn's Finest is released 9th June.
