Despicable Me, Megamind, Toy Story 3 And How To Train Your Dragon are among the 15 animated movies shortlisted for Oscars consideration in 2011.
Pet sagas Alpha and Omega and Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, acclaimed new French film The Illusionist and Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole are also among the hopefuls for a place at the 83rd Academy Awards.
Toy Story 3 has led the animation movies this year as it grossed over $1 billion at the global box office when it was released this summer.
Shrek Forever After, Despicable Me, Megamind and How to Train Your Dragon have also all enjoyed box office success.
The Dream of Jinsha (China), Summer Wars and The Illusionist (French) are the three foreign movies that make the list.
Three films will be nominated for the Animated Feature Film category, which will be announced on 25 January (11).
