Amy Adams says that she was never approached to star in a second Muppets movie.
The Oscar nominated actress took on the role of Mary when The Muppets returned to the big screen earlier this year - however she will not be back.
Speaking to the Belfast Telegraph the actress said: "No I'm not [involved]. I don't know why I'm not involved - I was never approached."
"I think the story takes us beyond Mary and Gary and now the Muppets are back together. I don't know anything about the new one. I wish them great success because they're a really great group."
And while she may not be back The Muppets Adams is whipping up a storm with her latest movie The Master and her role is hotly tipped to bag her another Oscar nomination.
She is also back on the big screen this week as she teams up with Clint Eastwood and Justin Timberlake for Trouble With The Curve.
And we are going to be seeing plenty of her in 2013 as she has completed work on Lullaby, Her and Man of Steel.
Man of Steel sees the Superman franchise rebooted and Adams is set to take on the role of Lois Lane alongside Henry Cavill.
The Master is out now. Trouble With The Curve is released 30th November
