Amy Adams has revealed that she has a whole new respect for puppeteers after working on The Muppets.
The Muppets will be back on the big screen in the new year alongside Oscar nominated Adams and funnyman Jason Segel.
And seeing first hand the hard work and skill that goes into bringing favourite such as Kermit and Miss Piggy to life Adams has a new found admiration.
Speaking to Postmedia the actress said: "[Filming The Muppets] was fantastic but so much different than I expected.
"I have a whole new respect for the puppeteers. I did not know it was so technical, so complicated and so specific."
"I don't know if it was left over from my childhood, but I would treat [the Muppets] just like any of the other actors on set."
Adams is currently is filming Man of Steel in which she takes on the role of Lois Lane.
The Muppets is released 10th February.
