Amanda Seyfried had the 'perfect' time filming Letter To Juliet In Italy.
The movie, which is directed by Gary Winick, is loosely based on Romeo and Juliet and sees Seyfried lead that cast which also includes Gael García Bernal and Vanessa Redgrave.
Speaking to Contactmusic she said: "It was amazing. Italy is the perfect place, really, in some ways the heart of Europe.
"It's really old and really warm, and there's so much good wine and food and people and culture and art.
"It's the perfect place, and I can't believe I was able to live there for two months. It's sort of ideal.
Despite being a romance movie Seyfried belives it's also a comedy and reveals that she didn't know how funny the film was until she saw the first cut.
"I don't know, I don't find it as funny. I thought the script was super romantic, and I loved that. But there are some funny elements when I saw the first cut."
It's bee an busy year for the actress already having topped the box office in the U.S. and UK with another romance movie Dear John.
She also starred n Chloe alongside Juliette Moore and Liam Neeson.
Letter To Juliet is released 21st May.
