Amanda Seyfried has revealed that the amount of nudity in her new movie Chloe was negotiated.
The actress takes on the title role in Atom Egoyan's latest movie, which also stars Julianne Moore and Liam Neeson.
Speaking to Parade the actress said: Actually, a friend of mine auditioned for the role of Chloe, but she wasn't ready to be nude so she passed. I was like, 'Nudity, fine, why of course'.
"We did have a lot of negotiation about how much of me was going to be shown naked. We ended up revealing a little bit less because it's tougher in America to push the envelope with sexuality, even if it's justified."
And despite being comfortable with nudity the actress admits that she was nervous about shooting her intimate scenes with Moore.
"You never know how scenes like that are going to end up just because of your fear. I don't know about Julianne, but I was counting down the days until we had to shoot our sex scene.
"When we finally did, we were both like, 'Okay, let's go for it.' It became a team effort. We just took off our clothes and hopped into bed and did seven takes. Intimate scenes are awkward, but intimacy can be awkward in real life."
Chloe is out now.
