Amanda Seyfried has admitted that she is disappointed that her new movie Red Riding Hood is being compared to Twilight.
The movie has the Twilight filmmaker Catherine Hardwicke behind the camera - in her first movie since 2008 - but Seyfried insists that it is a completely different movie.
In an interview with MTV News the actress said: "It's a bummer that that's what's happening.
"Yeah, I mean Red Riding Hood does surround a girl coming of age in a love triangle [like Twilight], but that's a lot of movies."
"The truth is, it's an entirely different story. I think audiences are going to be really surprised when they end up seeing this movie because... there's so many elements and there's so much going on."
Red Riding Hood is the first time we have seen Seyfried on the big screen since Letter to Juliet last year.
She has already completed work on Now, which also stars Alex Pettyfer, Olivia Wilde and Cillian Murphy, and she is currently working on a untitled Mark Webber project.
Red Riding Hood is released 15th April.
