Alice In Wonderland

Alice In Wonderland

Alice In Wonderland made it three weeks as the UK's number one movie, comfortably holding off the competition.

Tim Burton's 3D re-telling of the classic tale took another £4.8 million at the box office this weekend to hold off comedy The Bounty Hunter.

Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler team up for Andy Tennant's latest film The Bounty Hunter but, once again, had to settle for the number two spot.

The movie follows a bounty hunter who learns that his next target is his ex-wife, a reporter working on a murder cover-up.

Soon after their reunion, the always-at-odds duo find themselves on a run-for-their-lives adventure.

Leonardo DiCaprio's latest movie Shutter Island dropped one place from last week's two to this week's number three.

There was a second new entry inside the top five at four and that came in the form of I Love You Phillip Morris, which stars Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor.

War movie Green Zone dropped two places this week from number three to round off the top five.

Jacki Chan's latest film The Spy Next Door was the only other new entry inside the top ten at six.

This week's biggest faller was Hachi: A Dog's Tale which fell four places from five to nine. But Avatar dropped three while Girl With The Dragon Tattoo was also on the way down as it dropped two places.
