Alec Baldwin refused to bare his bottom for a nude scene in new movie It's Complicated and insisted on hiring a butt double to stand in for him.
The 30 Rock star plays Meryl Streep's love interest in the comedy and strips off for one scene in which he tries to seduce Streep's character.
But director Nancy Meyers reveals the bum in the film isn't really Baldwin's - because he didn't want to shed his pants.
Meyers tells USA Today, "He said, 'Mine's beautiful. However, I don't want to do that.'"
The movie sees Baldwin and Streep team up in a film about love coming around again for a divorced couple.
Jane (Streep) is the mother of three grown kids, owns a thriving Santa Barbara bakery/restaurant and has, after a decade of divorce, an amicable relationship with her ex-husband, attorney Jake (Baldwin).
But when Jane and Jake find themselves out of town for their son’s college graduation, things start to get complicated. An innocent meal together turns into the unimaginable... an affair.
With Jake remarried to the much younger Agness (Lake Bell), Jane is now, of all things, the other woman.
Caught in the middle of their renewed romance is Adam (Martin), an architect hired to remodel Jane’s kitchen.
Healing from a divorce of his own, Adam starts to fall for Jane, but soon realizes he’s become part of a love triangle.
The movie has been nominated for a Best Picture - Musical/Comedy Golden Globe as has Streep's central performance.
It's Complicated is released 8th January.
