Alec Baldwin has quit the stalled Men In Black III movie due to scheduling issues.
The 30 Rock star signed up to play an MIB boss in the third instalment of the alien action comedy, starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.
Filming was initially due to begin in New York in October (10) but was pushed back until late November (10). Script problems have now stalled the film, and the scheduling problems have prompted Baldwin to step down.
He tells New York magazine, "I'm out of it; the schedule didn't work out."
The actor has now joined the cast of movie musical Rock of Ages with Tom Cruise, and reveals he's taking his role seriously after signing up for singing lessons.
He reveals, "Does that surprise you that I would take lessons? You have to, you have to take it seriously."
Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are set to reprise the roles of J and K while Josh Brolin, Emma Thompson and Alice Eve are all believed to be on the cast list.
