Alan Cumming reveals that he would like to reprise the role of Nightcrawler.
The actor took on the role in X2 and admits that he would love to returnn to the franchise in X-Men: Days of Future Past - but stressed that he had not recieved a call.
Speaking to Coming Soon the actor said: "I haven't gotten the call. Someone told me that Nightcrawler doesn't appear in the story but I don't know, I think they would have called by now," he told ComingSoon.
"It was funny that film because I really like it and everyone really responded to Nightcrawler and enough time has elapsed that I would like to go back to it.
"Although then when I did that film it was sort of the start of this spate of superhero and comic books made into films so it felt a little more special than it does now."
X-Men: Days of Future Past is a sequel to X-Men:First Class and will see Bryan Singer return to the X-Men franchise as director after helming X-Men and X2.
Cumming has been mixing his TV work with movie roles have appeared in shows such as Web Therapy and The Good Wife.
But he has completed work on movie Maladies and Chu and Blossom and he has also lent his voice to The Smurfs 2.
