Adam Sandler is preparing to step into a woman's shoes and don drag for a gender-bending new comedy.
The actor has signed up for a double role in Jack and Jill, a romantic comedy about twins, portraying both the male and female title characters.
The movie is set to begin filming early next year (10) and is scheduled for release in 2011, reports trade paper Daily Variety.
Sandler isn't the only Hollywood star to put on a dress and make-up to portray the fairer sex - Robin Williams and Jude Law have both played women in the past, and Ryan Reynolds is also preparing to disguise himself as a female for an upcoming comedy.
It's been a quiet year on the movie front for Sandler with just one release, in the form of Judd Apatow's Funny People.
His next movie Grown Ups is currently in post production and he has lent his voice to a new animation movie Zookeeper.
