Aaron Eckhart has hinted that he may make a return as Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight Rises.
Eckhart took on the role of Dent in The Dark Knight back in 2008 - eventually turning into villain Two-Face.
It appeared that he had died at the end of the film but his cryptic answers during an interview CBS News has hinted at a return.
When asked if he would be reprising his role in the film he said 'I'm not.' But when he was asked about a possible cameo role or an appearance in a flashback he answered 'I could not possibly say.'
Eckhart is currently sitting pretty at the top of the U.S. box office with his new movie Battle: Los Angeles - in which he play and aging Marine battling against an alien invasion.
He will return to the big screen later this year as he teams up with Johnny Depp for The Rum Diaries.
The Dark Knight Rises, in which Christopher Nolan returns to the director's chair and Christian Bale to the role of Batman, is set for a 2012 release.
