Cop movies are a dime a dozen, but 21 Bridges looks like it could be one of the most action-packed and chaotic to-date. Produced by Anthony and Joe Russo (Avengers: Endgame), and starring Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman, audiences will see an unexpected conspiracy uncovered up on the big screen, with lines blurred more than ever before.
Boseman plays a New York Police Department detective who lost his father as a child in the line of duty. Now, he's a man who "sees his dad in every cop that dies", and will stop at nothing to rid his city of criminal activity.
With a number of bridges (21, to be exact) in and out of the island of Manhattan, extreme measures are taken to crack down on those who are taking part in illegal activity for their own means. All of the bridges are shut down, and the island is flooded with authority figures; but are they all fighting on the side of the law?
Boseman also serves as a producer alongside the Russo brothers and Logan Coles, with Game of Thrones' Brian Kirk sitting in the director's chair.
J.K. Simmons also stars, with Sienna Miller, Keith David, Taylor Kitsch, Dale Pavinski and Gary Carr also amongst the cast.
21 Bridges is expected to come to cinemas across the UK and Ireland later this year.
