12 Years A Slave has toppled American Hustle from the top of the UK box office to claim the #1 spot.
12 Years A Slave sees Steve McQueen return to the director's chair and this is already one of the most talked about and praised films of the year.
At the weekend the movie won the Best Picture - Drama Golden Globe, and is now toasting success at the UK box office. The movie took over £2.5 million in its opening weekend.
American Hustle fell a single place after spending just one week at the top of the box office.
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Frozen and Last Vegas all fell a single place to end the weekend at three, four and five.
The Railway Man was the second new entry inside the top ten as it opened at number six. The film starred Colin Firth and is based on the memoir by Eric Lomax.
Delivery Man was the third and final new entry, as the comedy opened at seven.
Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom was down just a single place at eight while Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues fell three places to nine.
Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones was this week's biggest faller as it dropped five spots from five to ten.
