All week we have been looking at the villains that have been lighting up the big screen over the last decade.
There is no villain more loved right now than Loki, he arguably is the most popular Marvel character around at the moment.
The role of Loki has propelled British actor Tom Hiddleston to global stardom, and this is a role where he has really thrived.
We were introduced to Loki back in 2011 when Thor came to the big screen for the first time; he is the jealous younger brother of the God of Thunder.
But his whole world come crashing down around him when it is revealed that he is not the Asgardian Prince that he was brought up to believe that he was.
By the end of Thor he is wreaking havoc that continues into Avengers Assemble as New York comes under-fire from Loki and his allies.
Loki may have be a Marvel 'villain' and yet there is something that you just cannot help but like. Hiddleston has played him as a mixture of charm and wit as well as a darkness.
He dances a fine line between good and evil, and that is what makes him such an intriguing character.
Loki returned to the big screen in October in Thor: The Dark World as he reunited with Chris Hemsworth. This second Thor movie shows the Thor/Loki relationship at it's most complex as Thor has to call on his younger brother for help... but can he really trust him?
Loki has become one of the most popular Marvel characters, and there are calls to see him get his own solo film; sadly it doesn't look like that is in the pipeline any time soon.
Loki is one of my personal favourite villains of recent years because there are so many sides to him as a character. There is the darkness and an 'evil' and yet he is a character that really is a lot of fun.
