Nicholas Hoult has had a very busy but a very successful 2015 and he is set to return to the big screen this week with new film Kill Your Friends.
Kill Your Friends is an adaptation of the cult novel of the same name by John Niven and sees Hoult take on the role of an A&R man who will go to any lengths to keep the music hits coming.
And it is Hoult who takes centre stage in this great new clip. Warning: the clip contains strong swearing:
Kill Your Friends will mark the feature film directorial debut of Owen Harris as he makes the leap from television. He already has TV series Misfits and Secret Diary of a Call Girl under his belt and I cannot wait to see what he delivers with this debut film.
Harris has brought together a terrific cast as Craig Roberts, Ed Skrein, Rosanna Arquette, James Corden, Tom Riley, and Georgia King will all-star alongside Hoult.
When the road to success is littered with losers and even your closest colleagues are desperate for you to fail, what would you do to make it to the top? London, 1997; the British music industry is on a winning streak. Britpop bands Blur, Oasis, Radiohead rule the airwaves and Cool Britannia is in full swing.
27-year-old hit chasing A&R man Steven Stelfox (Hoult) is slashing and burning his way through the music business, a world where 'no one knows anything' and where careers are made and broken by chance and the fickle tastes of the general public - 'Yeah, those animals'.
Fuelled by greed, ambition and inhuman quantities of drugs, Stelfox searches for his next hit record amid a relentless orgy of self-gratification. Created by an industry that demands success at any price, as the hits dry up and the industry begins to change, Stelfox takes the concept of 'killer tunes' to a murderous new level in a desperate attempt to salvage his career.
Hoult is one of the most exciting young actors around and Kill Your Friends will continue to show off his versatility as he delivers a performance that we have never seen before.
Kill Your Friends is released 6th November.
