If you are a sci-fi fan then 2014 is set to be another great year for this genre on the big screen.
We have already looked at the likes of Transcendence and Edge of Tomorrow, but we are also super excited about the release of Jupiter Ascending.
One of the reasons that I am excited about this film - apart from the fact that is looks amazing - is that it marks the return of Andy and Lana Wachowski to the director's chair.
The Wachowski's have made some truly terrific movies during their career, and are returning to the director's chair for the first time since Cloud Atlas.
I have to say, the adaptation of Cloud Atlas was one of my favourite movies of last year. It really was a triumph.
As well as being at the helm, Andy and Lana have also penned the screenplay, which is set to span through space to different worlds.
Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum team up for the first time, as they take on the central roles of Jupiter Jones and Caine.
They are joined by a terrific support cast, as Douglas Booth, Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne, and James D'Arcy are all also on board.
From the streets of Chicago to the far-flung galaxies whirling through space, 'Jupiter Ascending' tells the story of Jupiter Jones (Kunis), who was born under a night sky, with signs predicting she was destined for great things.
Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people’s houses and an endless run of bad breaks.
Only when Caine (Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along - her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.
It is always excited when a Wachowski directed film is set to hit the big screen, as they always create intriguing and beautiful looking movies.
I am excited to see where they take audiences this time around.
Jupiter Ascending is released 25th July.
