Inside Out is already one of the most acclaimed and successful animation movies of the year and now we get to go back inside the mind of Riley in a brand new short film... Riley's First Date.
Riley's First Date is set to be a bonus feature on the digital HD & Blu-Ray release of Inside Out later this year and we got our first look at the short film at this weekend's Disney D23 Expo.
We have a terrific new clip from the short film, which shows Riley's parents freak out as Jordan comes to pick up their daughter:
The short film returns to the world of Riley, who is now twelve, and sees her parents' emotions in turmoil as they have to deal with Jordan, the first boy to come calling for their daughter.
Riley's First Date is written and directed by Josh Cooley, who was joined on stage at the Expo by Jonas Rivera and Inside Out director Pete Docter to introduce the short film.
Kaitlyn Dias, Diane Lane and Kyle MacLachlan are back as Riley, and her mother & father. Amy Poehler, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling, Bill Hader, and Phyllis Smith once again voice the characters of Riley's emotions; Joy, Anger, Disgust, Fear, and Sadness.
Inside Out is one of the most critically acclaimed movies of 2015 so far and is already being tipped as a major contender for the Best Animated Feature Oscar. The movie has grossed over $637 million at the global box office and is the second highest grossing animation movie behind Minions.
Inside Out is out in cinemas now. The movie will be released on DVD & Blu-Ray later this year.
