I, Frankenstein is set to be one of the fantasy movies not to miss when it hits the big screen early next year.

I, Frankenstein is based on the graphic novel by Kevin Grevioux, and sees Stuart Beattie pen the screenplay and return to the director's chair.

Aaron Eckhart will play Frankenstein's creature, Adam in what is set to be an action packed role for the actor.

This is one of the movies that we have been really looking forward to and here is a great first trailer for the film:

This is only the second feature film for Beattie: he made his directorial debut with Tomorrow, When the War Began back in 2011.

I, Frankenstein looks set to mix elements of fantasy, sci-fi and action, resulting in a very interesting looking movie.

A great cast has also been assembled as Yvonne Strahovski, Bill Nighy, Jai Courtney and Miranda Otto all star alongside Eckhart.

200 years after his shocking creation, Dr. Frankenstein’s creature, Adam, still walks the earth. But when he finds himself in the middle of a war over the fate of humanity, Adam discovers he holds the key that could destroy humankind.

I, Frankenstein is released 24th January.
