Leslie Mann and Judd Apatow
Over the years we have seen some great husband and wife movie teams; whether they have starred together or one has directed the other.
This week sees Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann return with their new film This Is 40 and we take a look at some of the best movie couples.
- Judd Apatow & Leslie Mann
The couple met back in 1995 when Mann starred in The Cable Guy with Ben Stiller.
Apatow was producer on the film but also played the role of Jim Carrey during the audition process - reading with his future wife.
While they married in 1997 it wouldn't be until The 40-Year-Old Virgin in 2005 that the pair would work together on a film.
Apatow was in the director's chair for that film while Mann took on the role of Nicky.
Since then they have collaborated on a wide range of projects including Knocked Up, Funny People and new movie This is 40.
This Is 40 sees Apatow return to the director's chair while Mann reprises the role of Debbie from Knocked Up alongside Paul Rudd.
- Ben Stiller & Christine Taylor
Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor both have very successful careers apart - but have put in some great performances together over the years.
The couple married in 2000 after meeting during the filming of Heat Vision and Jack - a pilot that was never picked up.
Since then they have worked on a wide range of very successful projects together including Zoolander, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story and Tropic Thunder - all of which have been big hits.
And while Zoolander 2 is a project in the pipeline Taylor has not yet been announced on the cast list.
- Tim Burton & Helena Bonham Carter
While Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter are not married they have been together since 2001 and worked on a whole host of projects together.
The pair met when Carter was cast as Ari in Burton's remakes of Planet of the Apes.
Together they have two children and on the big screen they have become a formidable force.
Since that first project of Planet of the Apes they have gone on to work together on Big Fish, Corpse Bride, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Alice in Wonderland, and Dark Shadows.
All of the films have seen Carter take on quirky and off the wall roles as well as building a great rapport with actor Johnny Depp.
- Len Wiseman & Kate Beckinsale
It was back in 2003 when Len Wiseman and Kate Beckinsale met and fell in love on the set of Underworld - despite both of them being in relationships at the time.
Beckinsale make the move with her daughter to LA to be with the director and the couple married in 2004.
The couple are still happily married and they have gone on to work on two further projects together including a second Underworld film.
They reunited last year for the big screen adaptation of Total Recall - which also starred Colin Farrell and Jessica Biel.
- Humphrey Bogart & Lauren Bacall
But the ultimate husband and wife duo has to been Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall.
The pair met on the set of To Have and Have Not - which was to be Bacall's breakthrough film - and despite the fact that Bogart was married they began an affair.
A year later the couple were married and they stayed together up until Bogart's death in 1957.
They went on to star in three movie films together The Big Sleep, Dark passage and Key Largo.
The on screen partnership between movie icons Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart is perhaps one of cinema’s most famous as the remain on of film's best couples.
This Is 40 is released 14th February
