Brad Pitt is set to return to the big screen this autumn with the highly anticipated release of Fury.
Fury is one of the films that I personally am looking forward to seeing being a fan of the war genre.
This is the first time that we have seen Pitt in a movie since 12 Years A Slave, and his first major lead role since World War Z.
The movie sees David Ayer back in the director's chair, and this is the first time that Ayer and Pitt have worked together.
This is the second directorial outing for Ayer this year, having helmed Sabotage: he has also penned the Fury screenplay as well as being in the director's chair.
Ayer has brought together a terrific ensemble cast as Shia Labeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Pena, Jon Bernthal, Jason Isaacs, and Scott Eastwood are also on board.
April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines.
Outnumbered and outgunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
The first trailer for Fury really does look terrific, and I am excited to see what Ayer does with this genre.
It has been a while since we had a truly good film in this genre, and I think Fury looks set to really deliver. Fingers crossed that it doesn't disappoint.
Fury is released 24th October.
