Macbeth is an autumn movie that I cannot wait to see as Michael Fassbender is set to take on the iconic Shakespearean character.
Macbeth received its world premiere at Cannes Film Festival last week and is set to be one of the period dramas that is not to be missed later this year - sadly, we are going to have to wait until October before we get to see Fassbender in action.
If you are looking forward to this film and cannot wait that long, we have the first two clips from the movie for you to take a look at. Check out a battle clip and a coronation clip:
Macbeth sees Justin Kurzel return to the director's chair for his first film since the critical success of Snowtown back in 2011, while Jacob Koskoff, Michael Lesslie, and Todd Louiso have teamed up to pen the screenplay.
This is the first time that Kurzel has teamed up with Fassbender - the pair are due to reunite later this year when work on Assassin's Creed is due to get underway.
A great cast has been assembled for Macbeth as Marion Cotillard is also on board as Lady Macbeth. David Thewlis, Jack Reynor, Elizabeth Debicki, Sean Harris, and Paddy Considine complete the line-up.
Macbeth is the story of a fearless warrior and inspiring leader brought low by ambition and desire.
A thrilling interpretation of the dramatic realities of the times and a re-imagining of what wartime must have been like for one of literature's most famous and compelling characters, a story of all-consuming passion and ambition set in war torn Scotland.
Macbeth is released 2nd October.
