Felicity Jones is one of the British stars who is really starting to makes waves but here in the UK as well as in the States.
She is back on the big screen this week as teams up with Guy Pearce for new drama Breathe In - a movie that has been doing really well on the festival circuit so far this summer.
Jones kicked off her career in television in 1996 when she appeared in film The Treasure Seekers.
From there she appeared in series The Worst Witch, Weirdsister College an Servants before taking on the role of Catherine Morland in an adaptation of Northanger Abbey.
It would be 2008 when she made her big screen debut, as she took on the role of Young Ruth in Flashbacks of a Fool. She followed that up at the end of the year with Brideshead Revisited, in which she took on the role of Cordelia Flyte.
She then she has mixed her TV and film projects but has concentrated predominately on film work.
Cemetery Junction, SoulBoy and The Tempest all followed - but it was Like Crazy and Chalet Girl that really grabbed everyone's attention.
Like Crazy saw Jones team up with director Drake Doremus for the first time as she starred alongside Anton Yelchin.
The movie follows a British college student (Jones) falls for an American student (Yelchin) only for the pair to be separated when she is banned from the U.S. after overstaying her visa.
Like Crazy was a hit with the critics and went on to win the 2011 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize; Jones also picked up the Dramatic Special Jury Prize for Breakout Performance at the festival.
While Chalet Girl did struggle at the box off when it was released in 2011 Jones' central performance was once again praised.
Since then she has starred in Albatross, Hysteria as well as returning to television for Page Eight.
This week she is back with Breathe In as she reunites with director Doremus for the film.
Jones takes on the role of Sophie, a foreign exchange student who arrives in a small upstate New York town where she challenges the dynamics of her host family's relationships and alters their lives forever.
Breathe In kicks off a very busy period for the actress as we are set to see her in True Story, The Invisible Woman and The Amazing Spider Man 2.
True Story is directed by Rupert Goold and is a biopic film about the relationship between journalist Michael Finkel an murderer Christian Longo.
She is also set to star in The Invisible Woman, a movie sees Ralph Fiennes return to the director's chair.
The movie is about the secret mistress of Charles Dickens; Fiennes will play Dickens in the film while Jones will take on the role of Nelly Ternan.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to be the biggest movie of Jones' career to date as she will star alongside Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Jamie Foxx.
Felicity Jones is an actress who is really starting to make some major waves as she is impressing the critics with performance after performance.
Over the next twelve months she has some exciting projects ahead that will only help send her star rocketing.
