The first trailer for the eagerly anticipated live action Pokemon spin-off Detective Pikachu arrived on Monday (November 12th), and now we've had time to process this insane new concept, here is our (and, apparently, everyone else's) verdict: WTF?!
Detective Pikachu
It's already receive 27 million views on YouTube, with fans commenting on everything from the fact that Pikachu is being voiced by Ryan Reynolds to the fact that he and Jigglypuff are uncharacteristically furry. Such ideas have divided the world unlike anything we've ever seen, so we've taken to Twitter to uncover the funniest responses to Detective Pikachu so far.
Deadpool Pikachu
Nobody is going to be able to get Deadpool out of their heads when they see this movie.
Creepy Mr. Mime
This psychic fairy was relatively cute as an anime character, but as a CGI figure, fans aren't so sure.
JIGGLYPUFF IS NOT FURRY
Jigglypuff is apparently supposed to be like a balloon, which makes its furry skin in the trailer slightly incongruous...

Everyone's creeped out by furry Pikachu but we agree with this guy - Pikachu's definitely a mouse!
