Colin Farrell has been making some interesting movies of late with the likes of Seven Psychopaths and Fright Night under his belt.
The actor is back this week as he teams up with director Niels Arden Oplev - who is making is American feature film debut - for Dead Man Down.
The is the first film project that we will be seeing Farrell star in this year, but he also has a whole host of movies to film.
Dead Man Down is already being called one of the best revenge thrillers of 2013 as Farrell stars with Noomi Rapace for the first time.
This is the first time that Rapace and Oplev have worked together since the fantastic Girl With A Dragon Tattoo and it seems that the director has brought his gritty realism to this project.
And as if Farrell and Rapace on a cast list together wasn't enough Terrence Howard and Dominic Cooper are also set to star.
Farrell will be back on the big screen later this month in a project that could be more different... he has lent his voice to animation movie Epic.
We have already seen some terrific animation films so far this year and it looks like Epic is set to follow that trend.
Farrell will bring the character of Ronin to life - a Leafman warrior who is tasked with protecting the forest.
Chris Wedge is back in the director's chair and he is a man who knows a thing or two about animation having brought Ice Age and Robots to the big screen.
The movie is a big screen adaptation of William Joyce's novel The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs and sees Amanda Seyfried, Christoph Waltz and Josh Hutcherson also on board.
Epic follows Mary Katherine who, after shrinking, come face to face with a world that she couldn't have imagined existed. But that whole world is thrown into jeopardy as evil wants to destroy the forest.
Farrell has also completed work on Saving Mr Banks, however this movie will not be hitting the big screen until January next year.
Tom Hanks, Paul Giamatti, Emma Thompson and Jason Schwartzman join Farrell on a star studded cast list while John Lee Hancock is back in the director's chair for the first time since The Blind Side.
The movie is set to follow Author P.L. Travers who travels from London to Hollywood after she has been informed that Walt Disney Pictures want to adapt her novel Mary Poppins into a movie.
While we don't know anything about the movie of yet could this be a possible Oscar contender?
The Academy love a biopic movie and Hanks will play Walt Disney while Thompson will take on the role of P.L. Travers.
Farrell will play Travers' father in the film - the character of Mr Banks in the Mary Poppins novel was based on her father.
The Irish actor is currently working on Winter's Tale with Will Smith and Russell Crowe while Miss Julie is also in the pipeline; the film will see him star alongside double Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain.
Dead Man Down is released 3rd May.
