There are a whole host of autumn movies that I cannot wait to sees and Pan is one that I am really excited about.
Pan, which is a new re-telling of the Peter Pan story, marks the return of Joe Wright to the director's chair for the first time since Anna Karenina back in 2012.
Wright is one of my favourite directors and he has brought us films such as Pride & Prejudice, The Soloist, Hanna, and Atonement during his career. It is always great to see him back and I cannot wait to see him put his own stamp on a story that we know so well.
Peter Pan, Blackbeard, James Hook, and Tiger Lily are just some of the familiar characters we are going to see and it really does promise to be an action packed ride - I cannot wait to see Tiger Lily in a sword fight with Blackbeard. A brand new trailer for the film has arrived:
We are going to be introduced to the acting talents of Levi Miller, as he takes on the central role of Peter Pan in what is his first major film role.
Hugh Jackman, Garrett Hedlund, and Rooney Mara are on board as Blackbeard, James Hook, and Tiger Lily, while Cara Delevingne, Amanda Seyfried, Nonso Anozie, Paul Kaye, and Kathy Burke make up the terrific cast list.
Offering a new take on the origin of the classic characters created by J.M. Barrie, the action adventure follows the story of an orphan who is spirited away to the magical Neverland. There, he finds both fun and dangers, and ultimately discovers his destiny - to become the hero who will be forever known as Peter Pan.
Pan is one of the movies that I have been looking forward to all year as a great cast and director look set to make this a wonderfully enchanting ride.
Pan is released 16th October.
