Angelina Jolie is set to return to the director's chair this December with her new film By the Sea, which she has written and stars in.
By The Sea sees Jolie reunite with Brad Pitt on the big screen for the first time since Mr & Mrs Smith... but this looks set to be a very different film project for the pair.
This will be the third feature film for director Jolie and will follow In The Land of Blood and Honey and Unbroken - I personally cannot wait to see what she delivers this time around.
The brand new trailer has arrived and we have it for you to take a look at:
Pitt and Jolie take on the role of husband and wife Roland and Vanessa, a married couple who are drifting apart. They are joined on the cast list by Mélanie Laurent, Sarah Naudi and Melvil Poupaud.
During her short directing career, Jolie has delivered movies that focus in and develop characters well and By The Sea looks set to follow that tradition.
While Jolie and Pitt have worked together before, this will be the first time that Pitt will have been directed by his wife. This will also be the first time that Jolie has starred in a movie that she has directed.
By the Sea follows an American writer named Roland (Pitt) and his wife, Vanessa (Jolie Pitt), who arrive in a tranquil and picturesque seaside resort in 1970s France, their marriage in apparent crisis.
As they spend time with fellow travelers, including young newlyweds Lea (Laurent) and François (Poupaud), and village locals Michel (Arestrup) and Patrice (Bohringer), the couple begins to come to terms with unresolved issues in their own lives.
Jolie really is one of the most exciting emerging filmmaker arounds and By The Sea is different to anything that she has directed so far.
By The Sea will also be the first time that we have seen her on the big screen since the huge success of Maleficent back in 2014.
By The Sea is released 11th December.
