Brie Larson has been building up her career in recent years as she has moved between big screen and TV projects.
2013 could well be the year for here as she has a couple of movies to be released as well as having a few others in the pipeline.
She made her acting debut in 1998 on TV show To have & to Hold and since then she has been moving between the two mediums - 13 Going on 30, Sleepover and Touched by an Angel being just some of her early projects.
But more recently the movies have been getting bigger and she has appeared in the likes of Greenberg, Scott Pilgrim vs the World and 21 Jump Street.
And while she has been doing this she has also been dipping her two into the music arena - she has recorded two albums so far but only released one.
But we are going to be seeing plenty of her this year and The Spectacular Now is one of the first films up for release.
Directed by James Ponsoldt the film will also star some other great young talent including Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Shailene Woodley.
Don Jon's Addiction premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this month and will mark the directorial debut of Joseph Gordon Levitt.
The movie follows a porn-addicted, modern day Don Juan who sets out to become a less selfish person after meeting a recently widowed older woman.
Julianne Moore, Scarlett Johansson and Levitt himself will also star and it has already received a lot of attention in Sundance.
Larson is also going to be busy filming this year as she is set to star in Squirrel to the Nuts and Relanxious.
But it seems that Larson has also got an interest behind the camera as she has already written and directed two short projects - and she is only twenty three years old.
Larson is a talent to keep an eye on this year as she seems to be someone who is well and truly on the rise.
