Tom Hanks is set to return to the big screen this November as he leads an all-star cast in political thriller Bridge of Spies.
Bridge of Spies sees Hanks team up with filmmaker Steven Spielberg for their third feature film together and their first since The Terminal back in 2004... I don't know about you, but it is great to see this actor and director working together again.
Hanks is set to take on the role of James B. Donovan, an American lawyer who is pulled into the Cold War when he is recruited by the CIA.
A brand new clip from the film has been released featuring Hanks and Mark Rylance and we have it for you to take a look at:
A terrific cast has been assembled for the film, as Hanks and Rylance are joined by Amy Ryan, Alan Alda, Austin Stowell, Sebastian Koch and Michael Gaston.
Bridge Of Spies is a dramatic thriller which tells the story of James Donovan (Hanks), a Brooklyn insurance claims lawyer who finds himself thrust into the centre of the Cold War when the CIA sends him on the near-impossible task to negotiate the release of a captured American U-2 pilot.
Bridge of Spies premiered last weekend at the New York Film Festival, where it was met well by critics and audiences, and is being tipped as a potential Oscar contender.
Hanks is one of the best actors around and we could well see him in the Best Actor Oscar race when the nominations are revealed at the beginning of next year. Hanks was outrageously overlooked for a Best Actor nod for his performance in Captain Phillips and I think he should be in the mix this time around.
Bridge of Spies is released 27th November.
