Here are FemaleFirst we have a string of actors that we enjoy seeing on the big screen: the likes of Hugh Jackman, Chris Hemsworth and Ryan Gosling are all very popular in the office - and why wouldn’t they be?

Over the last twelve months, we have seen these rather good-looking fellows showing off more than their acting talents on the big screen. Therefore, here are some of the best shirtless moments of the last twelve months for you to enjoy.

- Chris Hemsworth - Rush

Chris Hemsworth is a fine figure of a man and has whipped his shirt off in both Rush and Thor: The Dark World this year. The word is he was not comfortable with the shirtless scene in the Thor sequel; if we are being honest, it really didn’t have any purpose in the film whatsoever.

Rush was his other big movies of 2013, and he whipped his racing gear off in a hospital scene early on in the movie. Hemsworth had lost a lot of the bulk of Thor as he slimmed down to play an F1 driver - however he was still in great shape for the film.

- Hugh Jackman - The Wolverine

Every time you see Hugh Jackman take on the role of Wolverine, you can guarantee there will be at least on shirtless scene. Let’s face if you have worked as hard as that to get in great shape for a role then you really should be able to show it off.

There were a whole host of great topless scenes to pick from in The Wolverine - the second standalone film for this character - and we have picked one that show Logan about to burst into action.

- Charlie Hunnam - Pacific Rim

Charlie Hunnam has made his name in television with his role in Sons of Anarchy, but summer 2013 saw him take on his biggest movie role yet in Pacific Rim; a movie that saw him team up with director Guillermo del Toro.

The sci-fi film saw Hunnam take on the role of a Jaegers pilot: robots that had been built to fight off an alien invasion. Of course, this required Hunnam to be at a top physical peak, and he was more than happy to show off all of his hard work - and we didn’t mind either.

- Ryan Gosling - The Place Beyond the Pines

Ryan Gosling has given us a whole host of topless treats over the years - Stupid, Crazy, Love being a particular highlight.

Gosling was back on the big screen this spring in The Place Beyond the Pines, a movie that saw him play a tattooed motorcycle stuntman. As we have all come to expect Gosling was in great shape for the film - have to admit not a big fan of the tattoos.

- Matt Damon - Elysium

We already know that Matt Damon is a bona fide action star with the success of The Bourne franchise in recent years. He returned to an action role this summer with the release of Elysium - the new film for District 9 director Neill Blomkamp.

Elysium saw Damon get into the best shape we have seen him for a role, and while he doesn’t flaunt that physique throughout the film we do get to see just how hard he has worked.

- Henry Cavill - Man of Steel

Henry Cavill is another actor who has enjoyed television success over the years, but this summer saw him take on the biggest movie role of his career… of course, I am talking about the return of Superman.

Man of Steel marked the return of the caped hero to the big screen and Cavill got into fantastic shape for the action packed role. And while Cavill looked fantastic in the modern designed Superman outfit, he did whip his shirt off as he was saving innocent lives.

- Sam Claflin - The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Sam Claflin has starred in movies such as Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Snow White and the Huntsman in recent years, and he returned to the big screen in autumn with The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Claflin landed the role of Finnick Odair as this character was introduced for the first time in this second film. Odair is a former Hunger Games winner and is known for his prowess in the water. In the book, he is described as being athletic, and Claflin obliged.
