A Steven Soderbergh movie is always something to look forward to but his latest project Behind The Candelabra is one of the most talked about films of the year.
The movie sees the director reunite with both Michael Douglas and Matt Damon as they bring the love affair of Liberace and Scott Thorson to the big screen.

The movie is based on the memoir Behind the Candelabra: My Life With Liberace by Scott Thorson and Alex Thorleifson and has been adapted for the big screen by Richard LaGravenese.
LaGravenese has written the scripts for the likes of Water For Elephants and P.S. I Love You in recent years and this is his first project since Beautiful Creatures.
The movie looks set to be the final directorial outing for Steven Soderbergh for some time as the Oscar winner wants to go off and to other things.
Soderbergh has been behind some terrific movies of the years with the likes of Side Effects and Magic Mike coming in the last twelve months.

In the summer of 1977, handsome young stranger Scott Thorson walked into Liberace’s dressing room and, despite their age difference and seemingly different worlds, the two embarked on a secretive five-year love affair.
To the outside world Scott was an employee, at most a friend, but behind closed doors his life with Liberace was an intense rollercoaster of hedonistic fun, flamboyance and excess.
Behind The Candelabra has already won over audiences and critics at the Cannes Film Festival and it looks set to be one of the movies not to miss this summer.
