There have already been some great documentaries in 2013 but another one is heading our way this summer in the form of The Battle of the Sexes.
There is nothing greater than a sporting documentary and that is exactly what James Erskine and Zara Hayes have delivered.
Erskine has already delivered sporting documentaries such as One Night in Turin and From the Ashes and now he brings the battle of Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs to the big screen.
And we have the terrific new trailer for the documentary for you to take a look at:
The Battle Of The Sexes tells the story of Billie Jean King’s historic match against Bobby Riggs in 1973
Riggs said "I want to prove that women are lousy, they stink, they don't belong on the same court as a man." - Billie Jean King set to out to prove him wrong in what was a fantastic match.
King, Margaret Court and Chris Evert all feature in the film while modern day plays such as Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova talk about the impact that this match had on them.
Sporting documentaries always contain some of the most powerful movie moments as they capture the passion and the pride of people caught up in that moment.
The Battle of the Sexes looks set to follow that fine tradition as this match empowered a generation of women and changed the sport of tennis forever.
The Battle of the Sexes is released 26th June
