Ansel Elgort is one of the actors to watch out for over the next couple of years, as he is a star who is really on the rise.
Elgort is back on the big screen this week, as he teams up with Shailene Woodley for the second time for the adaptation of The Fault In Our Stars.
It was only last year that Elgort made his big screen debut, when he took on the role of Tommy Ross in horror film Carrie.
Directed by Kimberly Peirce, the movie was a remake of the 1975 classic, and saw Chloe Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore lead the cast list.
Carrie may not have been a box office smash, but it really did help Elgort kick off his career in a big way.
He return to the big screen earlier this year as he took on the role of Caleb in Divergent: which was an adaptation of the popular novel of the same name by Veronica Roth.
Divergent was the first project that saw Elgort team up with Woodley, as they play brother and sister in the film.
The first instalment of the film gave us a limited view of Elgort in this role, but Caleb is a character that grows over the next two instalments.
Filming is already underway on the second movie Insurgent, which sees Robert Schwentke take over the director's chair.
Woodley, Theo James, Kate Winslet, and Miles Teller will all be back, while Naomi Watts and Octavia Spencer are the two big additions to the cast list.
Insurgent is set to hit the big screen in spring 2015.
The Fault In Our Stars is the biggest role of Elgort's career so far, as he and Woodley star as Hazel and Gus in the new film.
The movie is based on the much-loved novel of the same name by John Green, and sees Josh Boone in the director's chair.
The Fault In Our Stars follows two teenagers Hazel and Gus after they meet at a cancer support group. This is a terrific book and I can't wait to see it on the big screen.
While it is a story that tackles cancer and the effects of the disease, this is also a funny and uplifting story about friendship, family, and first love.
Elgort has also completed work on Men, Women & Children: which is an adaptation of the book by Chad Kultgen.
The movie will see Elgort work with director Jason Reitman for the first time, while Adam Sandler, Judy Greer, Jennifer Garner, and Emma Thompson will star.
Reitman has been behind films such as Juno and Up In The Air in recent years, and his is his first film since Labor Day at the beginning of 2014.
As you can see, Elgort has a series of high profile and exciting projects on the horizon over the next year or so, and is an actor that we all should be keeping a very close eye on.
The Fault In Our Stars is released 19th June.
