There are a whole host of actors who will be making quite a name for themselves this summer with the projects that they are set to star in.
Some actors will be making the break from TV while other with be making their breakthrough with their roles.
So we took a look at some of the stars on the rise this summer and have a promising future ahead.
- Charlie Hunnam - Pacific Rim
Pacific Rim is set to be the biggest film role of Hunnam's career to date as he teams up with director Guillermo Del Toro for the first time.
Hunnam is best known for his role in TV series Sons of Anarchy but with this movie he is set to show that is also a bona fide big screen leading man.
Pacific Rim follows a group of humans as they try to repel an alien invasion - it is set to be one of the biggest movies of the summer.
And it has been revealed that Hunnam will be reuniting with Del Toro on his next project Crimson Peak.
- Tuppence Middleton - Trap For Cinderella
Trap For Cinderella will also be hitting the big screen this week with Tuppence Middleton in the lead role.
The actress has been working between TV and film in recent years and, much like Hunnam, this is the biggest role of her career to date.
The movie sees her work with director Iain Softley in a film that is based on the novel by Sebastien Japrisot.
And we are going to be seeing plenty of Middleton on the big screen as she has finished work on Love Punch and A Long Way Down and is currently filming Jupiter Ascending.
- Dan Stevens - Summer In February
Dan Stevens is an actor who has worked predominately in television during his career - best known of course for his role as Matthew Crawley in Downton Abbey.
But now that he has left the show Stevens is making his move into film; and he has plenty of exciting movies ahead.
Summer In February was a passion project for the actor as he brought this real life love story to the big screen; serving as producer for the very first time.
The movie enjoyed critical success on its release and has opened film audiences up to this exciting actor.
He has completed work on The Fifth Estate - which follows the story of Wikileaks and Julian Assange.
And Stevens is currently filming A Walk Among the Tombstones and will also star in a remake of Swallows and Amazons.
- Benedict Cumberbatch - Star Trek Into Darkness
Benedict Cumberbatch is known to just about everyone as Sherlock Holmes, but this summer he has shown that he makes a really terrific villain.
Cumberbatch was one of the new faces on the cast of Star Trek Into Darkness - which was the second Star Trek movie from director J.J. Abrams.
This was the biggest movie role of Cumberbatch's career and it has kicked off a string of exciting film projects; it seems that Hollywood has discovered this British talent.
He has completed work on 12 Years A Slave, will play Julien Assange in The Fifth Estate and will bring Smaug to life in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
He us currently working on Magik and pick-ups in New Zealand for The Hobbit trilogy. And as if all that is not enough he will lead the cast in Guillermo Del Toro's next film Crimson Peak.
- James Badge Dale - Iron Man 3, World War Z, The Lone Ranger
James Badge Dale has been one of the busiest actors this summer as he is starring in no less than three movies.
The actor really made a name for himself in TV with The Pacific and Rubicon but now he is making a very successful movie into TV.
He took on the baddie role of Savin in Iron Man 3 and while it was a small role in World War Z his character brought a lot of the comedy early on.
The Lone Ranger is set to be his final film outing this summer as he teams up with Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer and director Gore Verbinski.
He will be back on the big screen this autumn as he will star alongside Zac Efron, Paul Giamatti and Colin Hanks in Parkland.
- Felicity Jones - Breathe In
Felicity Jones has been on our radar for quite some time with performances in Albatross, Like Crazy and Chalet Girl.
But her new film Breathe In has been whipping up a storm on the festival circuit as she teams up with Guy Pearce.
Drake Doremus is in the director's chair as he reunites with Jones for the first time since Like Crazy.
The movie follows an exchange student whose relationship with music teacher Keith Reynolds will change his family forever.
And we are going to be seeing plenty of the actress as she has completed work on True Story and The Invisible Woman.
The actress is also set to star in The Amazing Spider Man 2 - her first big blockbuster film.
- Lily Collins - The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones
Lily Collins has tasted success and failure with her movie projects so far as The Blind Side was a hit while Mirror Mirror and Abduction, not so much.
This summer she is set to lead an all star cast in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones - the first of Cassandra Clare's novels to be adapted for the big screen.
The Mortal Instruments is the latest teen series to get a film makeover as Harald Zwart returns to the director's chair.
Collins is set to take on the central role of Clary Fray, who finds out the truth about her past and discovers a world that she didn't know existed.
The Mortal Instruments looks set to be a hugely successful franchise as future book adaptations are in the pipeline.
