About Time is one of the British movies that we are super excited about here at FemaleFirst as Richard Curtis returns to the director's chair.
This is the first directorial outing for Curtis since The Boat That Rocked and About Time is only his third feature film at the helm.
But Curtis has penned some terrific screenplays over the years and so it will come as no surprise to hear that he has also written this charming tale.
The first trailer for the film has been revealed and we have it for you to check out:
But it is not just who is in the director's chair that is exciting as the cast list is also pretty special as well.
Domhnall Gleeson takes on the central role of Tim in the film while he is joined by Rachel McAdams, Bill Nighy, Lee Asquith-Coe and Tom Hollander.
At the age of 21, Tim Lake (Domhnall Gleeson) discovers he can travel in time...
The night after another unsatisfactory New Year party, Tim's father (Bill Nighy) tells his son that the men in his family have always had the ability to travel through time.
Tim can't change history, but he can change what happens and has happened in his own life---so he decides to make his world a better place...by getting a girlfriend. Sadly, that turns out not to be as easy as you might think.
There are some truly terrific British movies heading our way this year and About Time is one of them - if Curtis knows how to do one thing it is to write a love story!!
About Time is released September 6th
