Kajol was born into wealth and priviledge and her father wants her to marry his business partner's son Sunil.But Kajol's heart already belongs to another as she has fallen in love with Suraj, a poor boy a fellow college classmate. When Sunil hears of Kajols and Suraj's romance he hatches a plan to remove Suraj from his path to Kajol's hand in marriage.He gets Suraj arrested for a murder that was committed in the grounds of the college, a murder Suraj has nothing to do with.In an attempt to help Suraj Kajol tries to enlist the help of Shivhankar,a retired blind advocate, but he refuses to help them.Without Shivhankar's help Suraj loses all faith believing that he will hang.
But Kajol is not beaten easily and on the day of the fial verdict the entire college gather to hear the outcome.
