Home Alone

Home Alone

To celebrate the release of Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure, we have taken a look over time to see what the Top 5 Christmas Films for Kids are.

So here are five of what we think (and some of our own favourites) top 5 Christmas Films For Kids:

1- Home Alone

This is a 90’s VHS classic. Starring the Eight-year-old

Macaulay Culkin who plays Kevin is part of a huge family in which he is accidentally left home alone, while his family fly off to France on vacation.

Being home alone for the first time is Kevin’s dream as he gets to stay up late and eat all the sweets he likes.

This is until Kevin has to single handedly fight off a team of burglars. Having being nominated for two Oscars for the soundtrack alone, Home Alone is a must see even for the Kids of today.

2- Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure

With the lovable Beethoven back on DVD this Christmas in Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure, he really is the winner for capulating children’s hearts over the last 18 years.

From being part of the Newton family in 1992 to saving Christmas for everyone in 2011, this is not one to miss- we even get to hear Beethoven finally talk!

3- Miracle on 34th Street

Set in 1947, Miracle on 34th Street is definitely a favourite. Starring Kris Kringle who plays “The Real Santa Claus” he finds himself in the strangest situations as he is hired to play himself at Macy’s department store where he has to convince an unbelieving little girl that he is in-fact the real Santa.

4- Elf

A more modern Christmas film compared to the previous, but Elf has seemed to capture the audiences of children and adults alike.

Starring Will Ferrell, who plays a very believable human/elf- as he was raised by elves, he then finds himself having to live as a human, which proves at times to be very difficult.

5- How the Grinch stole Christmas

Based on the book by the famous Dr. Seuss, How the Grinch stole Christmas is based on the Who’s, who live in Whoville, within a snowflake. A

ll the Who's love Christmas, yet just outside of their beloved Whoville lives the Grinch. Then comes along The Grinch who is a Christmas hater who tries to steal Christmas away! Starring Jim Carrey, The Grinch who stole Christmas is a definite family favourite.

Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure is released 14th November
