No sooner has the blockbuster summer disappeared but it starts all over again, I can hear many of you all inwardly groan at the thought of effect laden movies but yes the big budget blockbusters kick off in May.
But you will be happy to know that they dominate the release schedule, not yet anyway so lets take a look at what we are going to be watching over the next few weeks.
Wolverine gets in there first as the first big movie of the summer to be released as Hugh Jackman reprises the role as Logan for the fourth time, the first though in a stand alone movie for the character.
Set twenty years before X-Men the film will delve further into Wolverine's murky and violent past as he "discovers the world of mutants and, ultimately, the ominous Weapon X program, which turns people into living weapons.
Liev Schreiber takes over the role of Sabretooth/Victor Creed from Tyler Mane as the relationship between the half brother is also explored.
Despite the film having not yet been released there are already rumours of a sequel in the pipeline with Oscar winner Simon Beaufoy in line to pen the script.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine is released 1st May
Like many movie franchises of late Star Trek too has got a revamp and reboot as J.J Abrams takes the story right back to the beginning.
The film explores the early Starfleet careers of future Enterprise officers Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto), Scotty (Simon Pegg), Amanda Grayson (Winona Ryder), Uhura (Zoe Saldana), McCoy (Karl Urban), Sulu (John Cho), and Chekhov (Anton Yelchin).
A Romulan, Nero (Eric Bana), and a much older Spock (Leonard Nimoy) are influences, as well as Captain Pike (Bruce Greenwood), the first captain of the USS Enterprise.
Here comes a new vision of the greatest space adventure of all time, "Star Trek," featuring a young, new crew venturing boldly where no man has gone before.
There are also rumours of a sequel here too as Paramount have brought back the writing team to pen a new script.
Star Trek is released 8th May.
We don't get many stop motion animation cinema releases but May sees the release of Coraline, which has done really well at the US box office in recent weeks.
Based on Neil Gaiman's international best-selling book, "Coraline" is the story of a young girl (voiced by Fanning) who unlocks a mysterious door in her new home, and enters into an adventure in a parallel reality.
On the surface, this other world eerily mimics her own life - though much more fantastical.
In it, Coraline encounters such off-kilter inhabitants as the morbidly funny Miss Forcible and Miss Spink (French and Ms. Saunders, respectively), and a counterfeit mother (Hatcher) - who attempts to keep her.
Ultimately, Coraline must count on her resourcefulness, determination, and bravery to get back home.
Coraline is released 8th May
The Da Vinci Code may have caused a lot of controversy in the religious community when it was released but that hasn't stopped Ron Howard and Tom Hanks returning in Angels and Demons.

In retaliation, the old woman places the powerful curse of the Lamia on Christine, transforming her life into a living hell.
