West of Memphis was one of the best movies to be screened at the BFI London Film Festival as Amy Berg returned to the director's chair.
This is the first documentary feature film for Berg since Deliver Us From Evil back in 2006 but it was project where Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh called her and asked her to be involved.
West Of Memphis tells the untold story behind the extraordinary and desperate fight to bring the truth to the truth to light and free three innocent men who were convicted of murder.
And we have some new clips from the film for you to check out:
Damien Echols was on death row for the crime while Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley were given life in prison and yet this film shows how the law has failed them.
Berg along with Jackson and Walsh, who have been long time supporters of the Memphis Three, show off contradicting evidence as well as point the finger at someone else - questioning why he was never considered a suspect.
But this is not just a movie about the case but it is also a character piece that looks at Damien Echols and the relationship that he has with his wife Lori Davis.
West of Memphis is an incredibly powerful movie about the miscarriage of just and how that has impacted on the lives of not only those who were convicted but on the families of the children that were killed.
This is a movie that is not to be missed and really documentary filmmaking at its very best.
