The producers of Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams' latest film Blue Valentine have won their fight to get the movie a lower age rating.
Censors at the Motion Picture Association of America rules that some scenes within the film were too raunchy for an R rating and suggested that the film be released as an NC-17 movie.
But producers, Harvey and Bob Weinstein fought against the decision and it will be released in its entirity as an R.
The ruling means Blue Valentine will appear in more cinemas across America, but could also set the precedent for lower ratings for other films in the future
