Whether you are a Steven Spielberg or not, which I am by the way, you cannot deny that he makes a great war movie.
And he is set to return to this genre next week with his new picture War Horse - and I suggest taking tissues as it looks like it's going to have quite an emotional punch to it.
The movie is already a favourite to pick up a Best Picture Oscar nomination; whether the movie can go all the way and scoop the gong well we will have to wait and see.
War Horse is also set to make a star out of it's leading man Jeremy Irvine, who is making his big screen debut with the central role of Albert.
And Irvine is a talent that we should all be keeping an eye on as he will be starring as Pip in Great Expectations later this year.
He may not be a well established face but Irvine is surrounding by actor that are as Emily Watson, David Thewlis, Tom Hiddleston and Benedict Cumberbatch, great to see him really making a move onto the big screen, are all on the cast list.
War Horse begins with the remarkable friendship between a horse named Joey and a young man called Albert, who tames and trains him.
When they are forcefully parted, the film follows the extraordinary journey of the horse as he moves through the war, changing and inspiring the lives of all those he meets-British cavalry, German soldiers, and a French farmer and his granddaughter-before the story reaches its emotional climax in the heart of No Man's Land.
War Horse is released 13th January
