The final instalment of the Twilight Saga; Breaking Dawn Part Two, will hit our screens this year on November 16th. The last film of the series follows Bella and the rest of the Cullens as they come to grips with her immortality and her half-human-half-vampire child, Renesmee. But after an accusation is made against them, the Cullens must band together with other covens in order to prove their innocence to the Volturi.
Despite the main filming having wrapped long ago, the journey is not over for the stars just yet. This year will be packed with promotional interviews and appearances. But many of the cast seem to have already put Twilight behind them and have moved on to a number of different projects.
Robert Pattinson has been very busy of late and seems to be working really hard to pursue new roles. This year Pattinson has already starred in Bel Ami. In the film he plays Georges Duroy, a young man looking to rise up the power ranks in Paris. He attempts to achieve this rise to power by manipulating and sleeping with a number of rich and influential women. These include Madeleine Forestier (Uma Thurman), Madame Walter (Kristin Scott Thomas) and Clotilde de Marelle (Christina Ricci). The most recent film that Rob will be in, is Cosmopolis, which has yet to be given a release date. He will play Eric Packer, a 28 year old millionaire. The story follows Eric as he travels across the city to get a hair cut, but his world begins to crumble after meeting some shady characters on his travels.
Kristen Stewart has also been quick to shed the squeaky clean image of Bella Swan. Despite her obviously love and attachment to the character, Kristen has taken on more adult roles since she said goodbye to Bella. Her role as Marylou in On The Road, shows a very different side to Stewart than we are used to. In the trailer her character seems full of life, flirty and fun. Next month you will get the chance to watch her play Snow White, in the highly anticipated film Snow White and The Huntsman. She stars alongside Chris Hemsworth, also known as Thor, in this action packed movie.
Taylor Lautner has also been busy outside the world of Jacob Black. Last year he was the leading man in action film Abduction. He starred alongside Lily Collins and Jason Isaacs in the movie, in which he plays a young man who sets out to discover information about his past. It has also been rumoured that Lautner will star in Grown Ups 2.
Actress Anna Kendrick, who plays one of Bella Swan’s human friends, Jessica Stanley, has also been busy since Twilight. In one of her most successful roles to date Anna played Natalie Keener, alongside George Clooney, in Up In The Air. For the role she was nominated for a number of awards including the Oscar for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role. She also won Best Breakout Star at the MTV Movie Awards in 2010. The young actress has also starred as Katherine, a therapist to cancer sufferer Adam Lerner, played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Fans can also expect to see Kendrick in What To Expect When Expecting, which is released on the 23rd May.
Jackson Rathbone and Ashley Greene, who play on-screen couple Alice and Jasper Cullen, also have up-coming projects in their diaries. Jackson is starring in Cowgirls ‘N’ Angles, as Justin Wood. The film follows a young girl as she joins a rodeo group, in order to find her rodeo father. He has future roles lined up, but I figure he is taking a back seat to acting for the moment, due to the fact that he and his girlfriend are expecting a child later this year. Ashley Greene has also been involved in a number of different projects. In the period TV series Pam Am, Ashley played Amanda Mason. She is also set to star in LOL with Miley Cyrus. The Apparition, out later this year, is also another project that she has become involved with since Twilight. In the movie her and her partner are haunted by a supernatural presence. They approach Patrick, played by Tom Felton, a supernatural expert. He is there last hope in trying to escape the force that is terrorising them.
Breaking Dawn Part Two is out November, which seems like an eternity. But don’t worry Twilight fans. Your favourite actors and actresses will still be on your screens in some shape or form.
