Life is perfect for Woody (Tom Hanks), a lanky and likable cowboy toy. All of the toys in the room look up to him and he is the favourite of Andy, the boy who is their owner.
One day Andy's birthday present is unwrapped revealing Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), a fearless action figure in a space suit who believes he's on a mission to save the planet.
It doesn't take long for Buzz to win the affections of everyone - and for Woody to decide that the newcomer is his rival.
But when the two accidentally get trapped in the house of the neighbourhood bully, they must learn to overcome their differences in order to be reunited with their rightful owner.
