This week/next week sees the return of Zac Efron to the big screen in the release of The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud, out October 8.
Based on an acclaimed novel, Charlie St. Cloud is a romantic drama starring Zac Efron as a young man who survives an accident that lets him see the world in a unique way. In this emotionally charged story, he begins a romantic journey in which he embraces the dark realities of the past while discovering the transformative power of love.
The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud is Zac Efron’s first role as a leading man, finally completing his transition to serious Hollywood actor status!
Not only that but Zac has re-emerged as a more mature, grown up hot young man (a far cry from his innocent HSM days!) who is fair game... fair ‘cougar’ game! And by Cougar we don’t mean the mountain Lion variety.
In anticipation of Zac’s return to the big screen we take a look at other Hollywood heartthrobs who have come a long way since their teen debuts and are top of any Cougar’s hit list

Why: Zac is fresh meat, unspoiled and the prime age for and experienced Couger.
There’s something innocent about this wholesome boy that made his name in the successful High School Musical franchise where he first caught the eye of millions of teenage girls (who in turn told their mums, who told their single sisters who spread word to the Cougar nation- if they could just get that pesky Vanessa Hudgens out of the way).
He can sing, he can dance and with his upcoming film The Death and Life of Charlie St Cloud we get to see his sentimental side as he delivers his first ever serious dramatic performance.
He also gets all sweaty and flexes his muscles on his sail boat. Watch out Zac, you are in the eye of the Cougar!
Cougar Bait: Robert Pattinson
Age: 24
Why: It’s hard to open a magazine or browse the internet without seeing a picture of Robert Pattinson A.K.A R-Patz, and advertising works! In the end you just have to submit and to the shear vastness and join the long line of swooning admirers!
If any Cougars out there want to get there claws in to this bag of bones you could be waiting for a long time because just like Zac, our dear Robbie is currently hitched up with his on screen partner, Kristen Stewart.
The pair tried to keep their relationship on the down low for a long time but eventually they caved in to pressure and hearts were shattered as the rumors were confirmed.
Cougar Bait: Taylor Lautner
Age: 18
Why: Twilight was all about the budding relationship between high school student Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and brooding, eternally-teenaged vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson).
Bella's childhood friend, Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), was no more than a tiny blip on the radar. But with the second installment of the Twilight franchise, New Moon, Jacob moves into the spotlight.
Lautner packed on 30 pounds of mostly muscle to fill out for the role of Jacob, a member of the Quileute tribe who transforms into a wolf in order to protect his people from vampires. There is a scene in the film where he pulls off his shirt to wipe away Bella's blood and, well pictures speak louder than words.
Taylor explains 'I was in the gym about five days a week...yeah you were!'
Cougar Bait: Chase Crawford
Age: 25
Why: He made it big playing the role of Nate Archibald on the Hit T.V show Gossip Girl and his ‘appeal’ to the teen hoards was nothing short of instant.
The mere mention of his name causes an increased heart rate in under 20 female demographic but for the cougars the fresh clean cut prep boy look sends up warning signs of forbidden meat. Irresistible, pure guilty pleasure grrrrrrrr.
Cougar Bait: Kellan Lutz
Age: 24
Why: Yet another of our top 5 who can attribute their rise to super stardom to the Twilight sage, it would seem as though it a breeding ground for hot young men!
Although in Kellan’s case his claim to hotness was already well established due to his incredible sexy Calvin Klein X underwear ads, there’s no denying Kellan is a hottie. Next up for him: Nightmare on Elm Street.
And so concludes or list of the top 5 Hollywood Crushes... but wait one second we have a late addition, an outside contender!
Cougar Bait: Jonah Hill
Age: 26
Why: The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Superbad, Funny People, Get Him to the Greek! He may not fit the typical cougar prey profile but he’s extremely funny and let’s not forget the chubby chasers out there.
Not only an actor but a very talented writer, we will see a lot more of this hairy man in years to come, but will he appeal to the Cougars diet? Only time will tell.
