Love stories always make the best movies as audiences get washed away in the will they won't they of it all.
And this week we get to relive the romance of Titanic and Leonardo DiCaprio & Kate Winslet all over again as the movie is re-released in 3D.
So to celebrate the release of the movie we take a look at some of the great love stories of all time.
- Jack Dawson & Rose DeWitt Bukator (Titanic)
Of course we can't talk about love stories and not mention Jack & Rose as it was a love story that enthralled a generation, as well as breaking everyone's heart.
They may have only had a few weeks together but it is a love that lasts a lifetime for Rose as she changes her name to Dawson and lives a full and adventurous life in tribute to Jack.
Leo & Kate were perfectly cast as they had such a real and fiery chemistry that the developing romance on screen felt so real and genuine.

This is my favourite Audrey Hepburn movie of all time and it was one of her earliest roles.
Princess Ann is desperate to see the world on her own and slips away from her handlers one night to explore Rome alone.
Here she meets American newspaperman Joe who guides are around the city - but is he just after a story?
The pair have fallen in love before the truth about who they both really are is revealed.
Roman Holiday is such a classic in this genre as it is a old fashioned and yet totally believable love story.
- Rick Blaine & Ilsa Lund (Casablanca)
Casablanca remains one of the greatest love stories of all time as Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman team up in the Michael Curtiz directed movie.
Set in unoccupied Africa during the early days of World War II: An American expatriate meets a former lover... and their flame is re-ignited.
This is such a beautiful and selfless story as Rick puts the needs and safety of Ilsa before his own desires, knowing that she would have a better life with her husband than with him.
The chemistry between Bogart and Bergman really does bring this entire movie to life in what a re two truly heartbreaking performances that have not diminished over time.
The movie was released back in 1942 and yet it is still considered one of the best movies to ever grace the big screen.
- Maria & Tony (West Side Story)
West Side Story is Romeo and Juliet set in New York City, not to mention it remains one of the greatest musicals.
The movie follows two members of rival New York gangs (the Jets and the Sharks) who find themselves falling in love.
And forbidden love rarely end well and this is a heartbreaking tale of a love than could never be and the sacrifices made so they can be together.
Not only is this movie a great love story but it a fabulous musical that has influenced this genre for many years.
- Scarlett O'Hara & Rhett Butler (Gone With The Wind)
There is no romance movie that is as epic and iconic as Gone With The Wind, the movie that both Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh are remembered.
The movie follows Scarlett & Rhett and their turbulent love affair during the Civil War.
It's a movie about not realising what you have until it is gone and it's not until Rhett leaves that Scarlett realises that it is he who she truly loves.
But it is a movie of hope as Scarlett believes that they will be together 'tomorrow is another day'.
- Laura Jesson & Dr Alec Harvey (Brief Encounter)
Released back in 1945 Brieg Encounter was based on the play Still Life by Noel Coward.
The movie follows two strangers Laura and Alec who meet at a train station and are tempted to cheat on their partners.
This is an utterly heartbreaking movie as this is a love that could never be in what is a very reserved and yet powerful love story.
Other great love stories include Brokeback Mountain, The Bridges Of Madison Country, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Forrest Gump and Ghost.
