For three pre-teen friends living in a remote village of Turkey, their dreams are gradually crushed by the apparent wickedness of their adult guardians.
Ömer (Özkan Özen)'s father is the local imam, a highly respected member of their community. This does not change though, the way he treats his son with such disdain that Ömer is frequently found praying for his father's death.
Another young boy, Yakup (Ali Bey Kayali) has secret affections for a teacher of the local one-room schoolhouse.
The third young child, Yildiz's (Elit Iscan) mother is a cruel woman treating her daughter as a slave. Within three children's lives, what more could go wrong?
