Our look at the most anticipated movies of 2013 continues today was we move into the second half of year.
We have already highlighted some fantastic films on the way from January to June but July through to September promises to be just as exciting.
July
Guillermo del Toro is one of the most visual and exciting filmmakers in the movie industry and yet it has been a massive five years since he last helmed a film.
But all that is set to change this summer as he makes his return with Pacific Rim
With Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam and Ron Perlman all involved in the project Pacific Rim promises to be the sci-fi event of the summer.
When an alien attack threatens the Earth's existence, giant robots piloted by humans are deployed to fight off the menace.
Del Toro is one of the directors that truly excites me and it is going to be great to see one of his films back on the big screen.
The character of Wolverine was the role that turned Hugh Jackman into a star back in 2000 and this he returns for a second stand alone film.
The Wolverine will see him unite with director James Mangold and will tell the popular tale of his adventures in Japan.
This film promises to show a more vulnerable side to this character than ever before and should be an interesting ride.
Now Monsters Inc is my favourite Pixar movie of all time so I have to admit that I am apprehensive about the sequel Monsters University.
It was back in 2001 that we were introduced to the characters of Mike and Sulley for the first time and this summer they are back.
This is a prequel to the first movie and follows their time at the University of Fear - where they were not always best buddies.
No summer is complete without a Pixar film gracing the big screen and I just hope that this is as good as the first film.
August
Johnny Depp is known for taking on quirky and slightly off the wall roles and that is exactly what he is going to do this summer with The Lone Ranger.
The adventure/western sees him team up with director Gore Verbiniski for their fifth project together - three Pirates of the Caribbean movies and Rango.
He will take on the role of Tonto while Armie Hammer is set to play the title role - Helena Bonham Carter, William Fichtner and Tom Wilkinson are all also on the cast list.
This genre has not had the biggest box office success in recent years while it has the potential to be very successful it could be the movie that really struggles this summer.
The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones is one of the movies that is being tipped as a possible replacement for the Twilight Saga as the Cassandra Clare novel has been adapted for the big screen.
This adventure movie is set to mix romance with fantasy as we see a budding relationship between two people who cannot really be together.
This is a movie that is set to appeal to a certain audience and it has the potential to be very successful.
Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower lead the cast as Clary Fray and Jace Wayland while Aidan Turner and Lena Headey are also on the cast list.
But if Brit movies are more of your thing the The World's End is a film that is not to be missed as Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wright join forces once again.
The trio have already brought up Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz and this is perhaps the most anticipated British movie of 2013.
Wright is back in the director's chair as he mixes sci-fi with comedy and promises hilarious results as Rosamund Pike, Paddy Considine and Martin Freeman are also set to star.
Wright, Pegg and Frost have delivered fantastic movies in the past and The World's End could well make it a hatrick of hits.
September
If there is one movie that is not to be missed in September then Elysium would be it as Neill Blomkamp returns to the director's chair.
Blomkamp made his directorial debut back in 2009 with District 9 and this is his first film since that triumph.
It is another sci-fi based project but this time it sees him team up with Matt Damon while Jodie Foster and Sharlto Copley are also on the cast list.
Set in the year 2159, where the very wealthy live on a man-made space station while the rest of the population resides on a ruined Earth, a man takes on a mission that could bring equality to the polarized worlds.
Blomkamp made such a statement with his first movie it's hard to believe that Elysium will not be as good.
Another film that I am looking forward to this month is Rush as Ron Howard returns to the director's chair.
The movie is a biography of Formula 1 champion Niki Lauda and will chart his rivalry with James Hunt.
Daniel Bruhl and Chris Hemsworth will take on the role of Lauda and Hunt and it is set to be a high octane movie.
