British cinema has always done the police/crime drama well and so everyone is expecting huge things when The Sweeney hits the big screen later this year.
The movie is the big screen adaptation of the hit television series of the seventies and sees Ray Winstone and Ben Drew team up for the first time.

Winstone takes on the role of Jack Regan while Drew aka Plan B will play his younger partner George Carter.
The movie sees Nick Love return to the director's chair for the first time since The Firm while Hayley Atwell, Damien Lewis and Paul Anderson are on the cast list.
