Despite kicking off his career in 1999 in Sex and the City it was The Hangover that really made Bradley Cooper a star when it was released last summer.
Twelve months on and he has a second summer movie as The A-Team hits the big screen this week, Cooper taking on the role of Templeton "Face" Peck in the movie adaptation of the popular television series.
After studying at the Actors Studio Drama School at New School University he made his acting debut in TV, as so many do on Sex and the City before going onto The $treet and Miss Match.
He went on to make his big screen debut in 2002 with My Little Eye, a British thriller directed by Marc Evans and over the next couple of years he juggled TV and movie roles.
Alias was the biggest TV success for the actor as he took on the role of Will Tippin for forty six episodes between 2001 - 2005 as well as fourteen episodes of Jack & Bobby.
While he did appear in Wedding Crashers, Failure To Launch and The Comebacks he was very much seen as a television star.
But all that changed in the summer of 2009 when The Hangover crashed onto out screens and went on to be one of the biggest comedy hits of the year.
Two days before his wedding, Doug and his three friends drive to Las Vegas for a blow-out bachelor party they'll never forget. But, in fact, when the three groomsmen wake up the next morning, they can't remember a thing.
For some reason, they find a tiger in the bathroom and a six-month-old baby in the closet of their suite at Caesars Palace. The one thing they can't find is Doug.
With no clue as to what transpired and little time to spare, the trio must retrace their hazy steps and all their bad decisions in order to figure out where things went wrong and hopefully get Doug back to L.A. in time to walk down the aisle.
The movie was a critical smash and it went on to take over $467 million at the global box office, not bad for a movie that was made for $35 million.
Since then he has mixed and matched his roles from part of an ensemble cast in romance movie He's Just Not That Into You to horror movie Case 39.
2009 saw him bring his TV career to an end, for now at least, as he appeared as Aidan Stone in six episodes of Nip/Tuck.
He has already scored a number one movie this year with Valentine's Day and is back on the big screen this week with big budget summer blockbuster The A-Team.
A colourful team of former Special Forces soldiers were set up for a crime they did not commit. Going "rogue," they utilize their unique talents to try and clear their names and find the true culprit.
On the horizon for the actor is a sequel for The Hangover and has been linked to movies The Grey and TMI.
The A-Team is out now..
